The 4th Annual Plein Air Competition and Silent Auction was a great success for local professional and non-professional artists alike! Artists painted in Plein Air, a French expression for the “open air.” Thirty-seven gifted artists participated in this extraordinary event, canvassing various scenes throughout the Ogden Valley.

Dear Art Lover:

Please join us for our 4th annual Plein Air Competition and Silent Auction held in conjunction with the Ogden Valley Balloon and Artists Festival, Saturday, August 15th. Artists will be painting en plein air from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ogden Valley. Completed paintings will be brought to Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort (Wolf Mountain) for judging by 3 p.m. More than $4,000 will be awarded in purchase and cash prizes at the Awards Ceremony at 5 p.m.

Viewing and silent auction 4 - 6 p.m. This event is co-sponsored by OgdenValleyMagazine.com

Balloon Festival Fun in the Valley

It's difficult not to look at a hot air balloon floating so free in the sky and not feel young at
heart, like a little kid again.   On both Saturday and Sunday morning, the early skies were
filled with colorful hot air balloons.

Ogden Valley, Utah - Jennifer Burns, host of the "Cooking Delight" television show has been announced as the Master of Ceremony for the kick-off concert event on August 15th at the Ogden Valley Balloon Festival.

logo_balloonfest.jpg (Eden, UT) The14th Annual Ogden Valley Balloon Festival in Eden is scheduled for August 15, 16 & 17.  The festival, which is Northern Utah's largest balloon event, will offer fun for the whole family, will feature balloon launches, arts and crafts booths, continuous live entertainment featuring a diverse selection of music, an antique car show, kids games, climbing wall and Plein air art competition.

13th Annual Ogden Valley Balloon Festival

IMG_5512.JPG The13th Annual Ogden Valley Balloon Festival in Eden and Huntsville is scheduled for August 17, 18 & 19 and will feature 30 hot air balloons competing in various aeronautical challenges.

The balloon launches will be each morning at approximately 7:00 a.m. The festival, which will offer fun for the whole family, will feature activities in Eden and Huntsville will include a Fine Arts Show, Arts & Crafts booths, continuous live entertainment featuring over 130 bands and musicians, Kids games and an Antique Car Show.   According to Balloonmeister Mike Bauwens, who attends ballooning events all over the country,  “I am thrilled about the format of this event.  This is the only festival I’ve attended that has so many activities besides ballooning going on. We’re pleased to be the featured entertainment, yet we also enjoy participating in the other activities.”
