A true community event full of awesome Artists, Photographers and Potters with over 35 pieces in our show along with 15 donated pieces for silent auction. Adorned with music, food and gift certificates donated by Historic 25th Street business and restaurants this is bound to be a fun event. An exhibit of beautiful wildlife paintings, photography and pottery will be displayed for the month of May on the show floor of Artists and Heirlooms.  The show will open with a Reception on Friday May 1st, 2009 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The show floor exhibit will remain on display through the month of May. Artists and Heirlooms will be donating 20% of all sales from the show to WRC. Silent Auction pieces donated by the Artists and Business will be started for bid on the evening of May 1st and end at the next Gallery Stroll on June 5th, 2009. 100% of the silent auction items will go to the WRC.

The Gallery’s regular hours are currently Monday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the first Friday of each month.

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah (WRC ) was born from expertise, volunteerism and passion of the Ogden Nature Center’s wild bird rehabilitation facility. The WRC was organized on March 8, 2009 due to an economic decision by the Ogden Nature Center’s board of directors to shutdown the rehabilitation facility as of June 30, 2009. WRC’s group of experts and volunteers treats approximately 700 birds each year. After 7 to 10 years of service and success at the facility they are determined to relocate and keep this great service to the community going strong. WRC rehabilitates native species of wild birds from hummingbird hatchlings to injured eagles. Their goal is to heal and return wildlife to their natural habitats and to educate the public about our wild neighbors.

As a non profit organization, WRC of Northern Utah relies on private donations and grants to fund their program. Every donation counts toward the recovery of our native wildlife. You can help our fledgling organization to take flight by signing up as a member, becoming a volunteer or donating needed items used as they provide care and shelter to the animals.

Thanks to all of the artists and businesses that were so generous and share our passion about helping this awesome community service survive.
