Carol Lynn Pearson, author, playwright, actress and teacher, known for her incredible book Embracing Coincidence (formerly titled Consider the Butterfly) and her well received Off Broadway Play, Facing East. On Friday evening she will be presenting a shortened reader's theater presentation from Mother Wove the Morning; Carol Lynn says "Much of my life has been devoted to the search for the feminine divine, a search that culminated in writing Mother Wove the Morning, a one-woman play in which I perform sixteen women throughout history in search of the female face of God." She goes on "I played across the country and abroad, ultimately doing over 300 performances, one on Crete for the International Partnership Conference, invited by Margarita Papandreo, first lady of Greece, and author Riane Eisler." On Saturday Carol Lynn will be delivering her keynote address, a discussion of synchronicity as in Embracing Coincidence, "A favorite of mine, this book on synchronicity shares many of my personal stories that demonstrate the magic of coincidence," says Carol Lynn.

Shawn Gallaway, multi-talented guitarist, singer-songwriter, and visual artist will be show cased in the Friday October 3rd concert. In his latest release, Love Will Overcome, Shawn moves from the individual healing focus of his previous release, I Choose Love, to address global healing and restoration. Shawn says, "It is about raising awareness and empowering people to take action." These songs highlight healing in the peace movement, the environment, our political system, communities and relationships and are delivered with a passionate plea for loving action. You can hear and see Shawn's movie I Choose Love at GiGCommunity.com. He will also be presenting an incredible men's workshop for the retreat on Saturday.

Many local musicians, visual artists and performing artists will be sharing their talents throughout the weekend. An array of local teachers, counselors, and experts will be facilitating workshops that are bound to empower, inspire and enlighten the attendees. Friday afternoon workshops will be focused on building physical and mental health through the exercise and discipline of yoga, Thai Chi, Pilates and other modalities; for those seriously interested maintaining health through exercise and movement. There will be an opportunity to shop as there will be vendors displaying their wares throughout the weekend. The Upper Ogden Valley's own "Harley and Bucks" will be catering the event, famous for Craig's delicious barbecue; a mouthwatering vegetarian option will be available.

There will be a wide choice of workshops for men and women, covering some or all of the following topics: Sustainable/Green Living, Money & Soul, Art & Soul, NLP, Yoga, Meditation, Nutrition, Tai Chi, Pilates, Sound Healing, Massage, Reiki, Ayurveda, Feng Shui, Energy Medicine, Color Essence, Body Work, Gardening and more!
