atomic_chalet_wes_welch.jpg I got my picture taken the other day. NO! Not at the police station. I got my ski pass! I'm the one who answers the telephone, checks you in, serves you breakfast and cleans the house. I take a lot of pride in the Atomic Chalet since I designed and built the place practically myself. And since the millennium I have enjoyed providing a relaxing and casual environment for my guests. I invite you to come and discover the unspoiled beauty, 4 seasons recreation and idyllic skiing conditions in the Ogden Valley.

FAQs

Q: Is there a concierge desk at the chalet?
A: There is no full-time desk at the chalet. We make It a point to be available every morning at breakfast and again in the early evening to be sure guests are comfortable, know where to find dinner or help them plan for their next day.

Q: How far away are the ski resorts?
A: By car, 10 minutes to Snowbasin, 20 minutes to Powder Mountain and 10 minutes to Wolf Mountain.

Q: Do we need a vehicle and if so do we need 4X4?
A: The Ogden Valley is very rural and a vehicle is necessary to get to and from the resorts and your evening meal. Four-wheel drive is advised, especially if you choose to go to Powder Mountain.  However, many guests have no problem with a  standard front-wheel drive economy rental.

Q: Are there phones in the rooms? Internet access? Fax availability?
A: We do not have phones in our rooms but there is a house phone at the top of the stairs which you can dial out locally, collect or with a calling card. For those guests bringing their laptop and modem with them, the same telephone jack may be used for internet access. In addition to that,  the county library (5 blocks away) has free internet access along with fax machines.

Q: Are there kitchens in the rooms?
A: No,  there is a minifridge in your room to keep some snacks and beverages cool. Your room rate includes a healthy skiers breakfast from 7-8:30 am. After that  you are requested to eat at our local eating establishments for lunch and  dinners.

Q: Is there a curfew at the chalet?
A: If you have to ask, rent a condo.
We ski hard and sleep well.
Our billiard table is closed at 9pm.
