Friday was a beautiful day to be at the basin. Yes it was cold, and some areas were a little windblown, but there were still tons of freshies to be had and lots of great hikes were opened by Ski Patrol. We started our day with a few runs off of the John Paul Lift, then we hit the tram as soon as it opened. Then we took off for the Strawberry Bowl where we did a few hikes up to the Y chute and also a great drop off the cornice at Middle Bowl Cirque. Big props to Justin for pulling a 360 into the bowl and making it look easy!! We also had a great run down the hogs back.
If you haven't been there, the new Strawberry base has a new little esspresso bar. We warmed up there for a few then we took off for a few more runs before we ended the day. Porkbarell was a little cut up by then, but not bad. We dropped the belly of it and then caught up with Chris for a quick hike up TP's for the last powder run of the day. On the way down Chris and I hit a few jumps, he pulled a front flip and made it look easy at the bottom of Bash. Snowbasin Rocks!!
