Today was one of those days that really brings meaning to why we all choose to live in a place where you sometimes have to plow or shovel your driveway two or even three times in the same day.
Of course, the reason why we're plowing our driveways is so that we can make up to the mountain to get our share of what can only be described as the "lightest snow ever!!" It was if the gods were above us having a pillow fight. We woke up on Saturday to massive amounts of white fluffy stuff with seemingly no end in sight.
The conditions at Snowbasin were 10-30 inches of some of the lightest snow I've ever seen. Almost too light for my preferences, but I'm not going to get picky. The mountain was also very crowded, perhaps the most crowded I've ever seen. At time the gondola line was past the moose!!

Some of our most memorable and hairy runs were being the first to launch off the start of the men's Grizzly Downhill run in virtual white out. We tore up our boards pretty good on some barely exposed rocks at the top. Once we got past the rocks it was basically get back to the bottom of the tram by memory. We were hitting sections that were easily waist+ deep with plumes of pow pouring over our heads. As you might guess, my helmet cam was basically useless and all the footage is just a big white blur.
After a day of doing endless powder runs we warmed up and dried off in Earl's Lodge and were treated to some fine tunes by Danielle Vaughn and Dan Williams.
