Today was a great day on the mountain at Snowbasin. We received 3-5" of fresh snow overnight and it continued to snow throughout the day.
Conditions were good, considering how early we are in the season.
Snowmaking was in full effect in addtion to the falling snow. Of
course it was a Saturday, a variety of classes and clubs were about,
loading on the gondola was slow a peak times and the visablity was
occasionally poor but besides that it was great to be there. I shared
an awesome breakfast burrito with Mark, chased my friend Michael down
the mountain (check out the video) and had a fun jump run with Steven
and his team of green meanies.

One of the coolest things about being at Snowbasin is all the great
people that you run into there. Not only is the staff more like part
of the family, but you also get to know quite a few colorful faces that
seem to be able to ski first and work second as their prefered way of
life (your's truely included). On top of that, there's a wonderful
dynamic of always meeting new people in the gondola and having great
conversations with them about where they're from, what brought them
here and where they're going next. I've met people from all over the
world at Snowbasin and I can tell you it's one of my favorite parts
about being there. Everyday is full of things that are new, things
that are familiar and most importantly, things that will make you want
to come back.
