Cooking Delight Experience
Teaming up with cooking mogul Jennifer
Burns, Theresa Ellis will launch her first
solo debut as a VIOLINDIE. Jennifer
Burns has been successfully pairing culinary arts with other
artistries to give a fantastic experience to an otherwise
mundane daily task of cooking food. November 29 is the Thursday
you will not want to miss the "Delight" being held at the
New Image Day Spa at 5864 S. Harrison Blvd. Ogden, Utah at
6:30 PM. This is a two hour event of music, art and good food!
Jennifer was recently on ABC "Good Things Utah" show. Reservations
for this event and other services with Jennifer call 801.745.3170.
Learn cooking skills and see an artist in action, with the
"new" music of soloist Theresa Ellis. What is a VIOLINDIE?
This music aspect, and the artist too for that matter, is
supposed to feature original works, or the creative process
during the evening of the "Cooking Delight Experience". A
VIOLINDIE is a newly coined description
of indie rock, or from the independent music scene. Alternative
rock, also called alternative music, or just alternative is
also known primarily in the UK as "Indie". Rock instrumentation
is mostly the use of electric guitars, bass guitar, live drums
and vocals. Alternative bands, being independent from the
"mainstream" have included the use of the violin as a primary
instrument alongside and sometimes in place of more traditional
rock instrumentation. Theresa, being an independent artist,
is a VIOLINDIE almost as a sub-category
or subgenre of the underground indie music scene. She uses
the electric violin, electro-acoustic fiddle and other electronic
gear to stylize her sound. She will have CD's available and
a new demo of the song she wrote called "Figger It Out".
With the idea of the "arts" drawing closer together, healing
arts (maybe you want to experience the evening with a massage
at the Spa!) artistic drawing and painting, and new music
sounds, come and join us as Jennifer Burns leads the evening
on an adventure with food, and her message to "Become an artist
in the kitchen". Due to limited space this no doubt will become
a sold out event, so make your reservation today.
The Cooking Delight Experience was included on the front page
and in the "Pimp My Feast" article in the November 14, 2007
Salt Lake Tribune.

FULL MOON NO MORE - SCHOOL STARTS
|
 |
The
moon may still get full, but the Full Moon Gatherings with
friends and music in Eden have come to the summers end. Lots
of new friendships were formed, and the music jamming continues
in the community. Thanks for all the participation!
Also, the kids at Valley Elementary are already
signed up for Orchestra and the Guitar Ensemble classes. They
are tuning up for a great year of music-making with their
director Theresa Ellis. The first concert of the year is slated
at Valley Elementary in Huntsville, Utah, on Thursday December
13th at 7 PM in the gym. The Valley Band will also be featured
with Mr. Broome. The kids are working hard as a team; participants
are second through sixth graders.
PARENTS!
Some of the music students have returned from last year, and
are continuing their music education. The kids have been involved
with making a video demonstrating their playing skills. But
there will be more about that later. Parents: mark the calendar
for the upcoming concert and help your kids to practice up
for the first concert. The kids will need to wear a red shirt,
blue shirt or white shirt, your choice for the concert evening. |
