The team at Wolf Mountain opened its doors and runs this weekend and began the winter season with a customer appreciation day where everyone skiied for free!

Snowbasin and the staff of the Snowsports Learning Center would like to invite you to participate in the Snowbasin Snowsports Recreation program.  Program is available for ages seven and above.

The program has been restructured to make your registration even more simple and economical than in the past. All you need to do is go to our on-line store to register.

Registration is also availble off site at Exile Sports:

  • Exile Sports - 90 W 1100 So     Ogden BDO # 5 - Ogden, Utah
  • Saturday, November 24, 2007.  11-3 pm

Our program begins Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2.    Snowbasin would be delighted to provide the instruction to enable you to enjoy the snow and beauty our mountain has to offer.

That is with the possible exception if you saw me ski before 2004.  I come to this sport of skiing a little like an elephant on skis and I guess I don't know you well enough to tell you whether I've never been on acid.

THAT DAMN Motoski

Chapter 1 - The Name of the Beast

That Damn Motoski was aptly named. She was a hellish orange color; an orange so intense to the eye that one always paused upon seeing her to reflect on hell. As in, “How in the Hell did they come up with that damned orange color?” Hence the Damn portion of the name.

Motoski is more commonsense. She had a motor (actually an engine because as my dad the engineer often corrected, “Motors are electric; engines run on fuel.”) And, she had skis. Well, she had two banana-shaped lumps of metal with handles welded at the tip. In retrospect, those handles should have provided a clue.
